Children’s Fairyland
Website Design
I teamed with writer Nancy Friedman and web developer Jack Frost Design to revamp the outdated website for Children’s Fairyland in Oakland. My goal was to recreate the fantasy filled experience of visiting the park from a child’s point of view. I created a consistent brand presence: redrew the logo for the masthead, designed page templates with a palette of candy colors, and highlighted the playful symbols that weave through the park as, the yellow brick road and the magic key that opens each story box. The storybook navigation icons represent the essence of Fairyland where literature sparks the imagination of the young visitors. The fun, easily navigated website receives numerous accolades and achieves the goal of increased recognition and numbers of visitors to the park.
